THE METAVERSE

Textor, consistently ahead of his time, was among the first to embrace and develop the idea of a “meta-universe”. In 2001, Mr. Textor coined and registered the name “netaverse”, which at the time he described as virtual environments where human-driven avatars interacted with each other via chat rooms, games, etc… In the same year, Textor started the Jester Digital Corporation. Jester Digital was among the earliest to create internet-based multi-user virtual reality and game-like environments which paved the way for the convergence of music and the internet, massive multi-player games, and the digital distribution of entertainment content.
